Julius Baer acquires majority stake in Swiss real estate firm

Julius Baer has acquired 83% of Swiss real estate service provider Kuoni Mueller & Partner (KMP).

As a result, 40 KMP employees will join the Julius Baer Group and Dominik Weber, former majority owner and CEO of KMP, has been appointed head of real estate advisory at Julius Baer.

Weber will remain chairman of KMP, which will continue to operate in its established segments and markets under its own brand name.

The remaining shares of the firm will be held by the partners of the Swiss real estate firm.

The new subsidiary will form part of Julius Baer’s real estate offering in Switzerland, and will act as a strategic partner in the group’s real estate portfolio and asset management, brokerage of private and commercial investment real estate, brokerage of private residential real estate, property and construction management, and real estate valuations.
