MILTON, Del.- A small business owner is giving her community a reason to mark their calender’s.
She’s hosting an event and calling it “A Small Business Christmas.”
It’s happening at Hudson Fields on November 20th and it’s a way to show support for small businesses.
The organizer told us she had this event at her farm last year, but this year wanted to go all out.
She’s doing that with a bigger space, 100 plus small businesses, pony rides, a petting zoo, lots of food, live music, and more.
“To have an even bigger outcome than the last Christmas event because like I said that was such a successful event that I want to recreate it but on a bigger scale, so my hopes are to get even more people out helping to support all the local businesses that are out there we’re going to have even more businesses to support, to check out, get flyers from,” Jaclyn Gibbons, the event organizer, said.
Gibbons said she is encouraging everyone to shop local for Christmas.
She says shopping local is important to help keep small businesses going, especially in a small town.
If any vendors would like to set up for the event, you can email Jaclyn.firstname.lastname@example.org.
